Role Overview

The Digital & Data Intern will support the Operations Zoladex team in delivering the site’s Lean Digital Acceleration agenda by developing and enhancing Zoladex‑specific digital applications. You will help accelerate digital deployment within the department, improve data‑driven decision‑making, and gain exposure to the complexities of sterile manufacturing.

Key Accountabilities

Application development and iteration: Partner with sterile manufacturing end users to design, build, and iterate solutions using Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Tulip.

Requirements and prototyping: Support requirements gathering, process mapping, wireframing, and rapid prototyping to validate concepts with users.

Testing and quality: Assist with functional testing, data validation, and usability checks to ensure reliable, compliant solutions.

Documentation and onboarding: Create user guides and simple SOP‑adjacent documentation; support training, onboarding, and change adoption.

Data insights and visualization: Develop dashboards and visual analytics to surface operational performance and enable informed decision‑making.

Essential Criteria

Education: Currently enrolled in a degree with a digital/data focus (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science/Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering).

Technical experience: Hands‑on experience building with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate). Basic understanding of data modeling and visualization.

Eligibility: At least 18 years of age at time of application; UK right‑to‑work; must return to studies at program close (candidates graduating before/during the program are ineligible).

Desirable

Self‑leadership: Ability to work proactively, manage tasks independently, and follow through on commitments.

Communication and stakeholder engagement: Clear written and verbal communication; comfort engaging shop‑floor operators and cross‑functional stakeholders.

User experience: Understanding of UX principles and the ability to translate user needs into intuitive interfaces.

Manufacturing exposure: Interest in or exposure to GMP/sterile manufacturing environments and Lean principles.

Additional tools: Familiarity with Tulip, SQL, DAX, or Python for data transformation is a plus.
